Happy Valentines Day, Friends!
Although we believe everyday should feel like Valentines Day, we wanted to celebrate with you by sharing our 15 favorite love songs with you. Some are oldies but goodies, some are new, some are rock and some are country! Leave us a comment below and tell us your favorite love songs, and what song you chose for your first dance!
These songs are in no particular order, we love them all equally…. Doesn’t that sound just like something your parents would say about you and your siblings? HA it’s the truth!!
Side note: I am going to be making VDay happen for a lot of other people at my full-time gig today, so if you do have plans to brave the crowded love fest at every restaurant tonight, have a drink, cake or both for me!
The Bruncheon’s 15 Favorite Love Songs (just the ones I can think of of right now)… And my sassy commentary
1. “LOVE.” by Kendrick Lamar feat. Zacari
I first heard this song in Hawaii at a wedding go figure, and I loved it! I think it’s the perfect slower song for a wedding reception. It’s not super slow to where it could kill the dance party when it comes on but gives everyone time to remember why they are there.
2. “Perfect Duet” by Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé
If you thought Thinking out Loud was romantic, Perfect Duet is next level romance. Ed Sheeran’s songwriting skills with Queen Bey’s soulful range this song is GOLD.
3. “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar feat. H.E.R.
Now if I am being honest, I could listen to Daniel Caesar all day! If you have never heard this song before and you are looking for the perfect first dance song, go listen to this one write now! Every time this song comes on I make my boyfriend dance with in me… It’s the best part of my day (pun intended)
4. “Get You” by Daniel Caesar
I told you its an obsession at this point! Like “Best Part”, “Get You” is a great love song that would be great on your wedding playlist. This song would be a great prelude song at your ceremony, or a great first dance song. Again, if you’re sleeping on Daniel Caesar, go check him out right now!
5. “Caramelo Duro” by Miguel feat. Kali Uchis
This song is song predominantly in Spanish (no, I’m not bilingual) but I know a love song when I hear it, and it’s Miguel!
6. “Sweet Creature” by Harry Styles
Even though my love affair for boy bands did not include One Direction (90’s kid), I do enjoy this song by Harry Styles. This acoustic love song is about the rough patches of in relationships and living through them.
7. “Touching Heaven” by JOHNNYSWIM
If you haven’t heard this song from JOGNNYSWIM, you need to! This Husband and Wife duo are all things romance & tenderness…. Oh and they can Sing!
8. “Remedy” Adele
My bestie in my head Adele needs no introduction. “Remedy” is a sweet love song that would make a great first dance song or processional song.
9. “Move you” Kelly Clarkson
Have you heard this song? I get chills every time I hear it. It’s one of those songs that makes you want to make “I love you” more than just words you speak and turn them into actions.
10. “Die for you” Beyonce
All hail Queen Bey.
11. “You Send Me” by Sam Cooke
This song is a Sam Cooke CLASSIC an Oldie but Goodie for sure!
12. “Holding on to you” by Miranda Lambert
The vulnerability and tenderness in this song is what every great love song posses. “Holding on to you” is another great love song.
13. Prototype by Kevin Ross
This is a new to me song that I currently have on repeat! If you haven’t heard it before do yourself a favor andgo give it a listen.
14. “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton
Fact: Chris Stapleton, could sing the Alphabet and it would sound like the sweetest love song.
15. “You and I” by John Legend
What’s a list of Love songs without John Legend? Not much… John Legend has so many great love songs but “You and I” is one of my all time favorites.
